I was recently interviewed by the Yorkshire Post in a regular feature where they ask business owners 10 questions to find out more about them. If some of my answers are a little niche, I’ve added some handy clips to help out.
How would you answer these questions?
Here’s how I got on.
Here’s how the questions panned out
What’s your favourite film? Has to be Fargo a Coen Brothers classic and an Oscar winner. If you’ve not seen it before here’s the trailer.
Favourite song? Cannonball by the Breeders. An indie classic from the 90’s. The hammering guitars get me every time!
Ideal day away from the office? A day out with the family, Malham Cove in North Yorkshire is a great place to visit.
Favourite Cuisine? I love Indian food. But my current favourite is Moroccan
What’s the best thing about being in business? Being in charge of your own destiny, knowing that whatever happens its in your hands
What’s the worst thing about being in business? The sleepless nights and the stress
One word that best describes you? Straightforward
One person you’d most like to have dinner with? Che Guevara.
Below is the original iconic photo of Che Guevara taken by Alberto Korda in 1960. Despite this being one of the most reproduced photo in the world, Alberto never made a penny from it. At the time it was taken Cuba had no copyright laws so the image is totally free to use. It’s ironic that a hero of communism ended up having his image sold so many times.
Favourite holiday destination? Morocco. It’s like stepping back in time, the Souk in Marrakech is somewhere everyone should experience.
What are you most proud of? My children and my family
