This morning driving to work I spotted this van ad. So over joyed was I that, at last, there was some creativity in small business trade ads, that I took this shot.
It makes such a huge difference that someone looked at the back of a van and instead of just slapping a huge logo on, took the time to come up with a witty piece of copy, which seems to sum up the personality of a building company. This is such a vital element in choosing a service like this.
I was so pleased with this van that I posted the image to twitter, shouting – Is this the best van ad ever?
And for a short time it was…
Until someone tweeted back that the URL on the van, is a parked domain… What a massive crime!
Goaded by a few tweets, I contacted the MD of the business on LinkedIn. I congratulated him on the brilliant branding, but pointed out that it had fallen at the last crucial hurdle. I still await his reply.
