What’s your name and what is your role at the Marketing Optimist?
My name’s Lucy Pimblott, and I am the business development executive for The Marketing Optimist.
What is your favourite marketing campaign?
My favourite advertising campaign would be the Cadbury’s Gorilla.
What would you say is the most important thing about marketing?
To me, the most important thing about marketing is building relationships with your customers, your clients, and allowing people to see who your business is, what it stands for and how well you do what you do.
Tell us something not many people know about you.
I can service a car, or I used to be able to, back in the days before it was a case of just plug one end at the dealership.
What’s the one thing business should do right now?
To me, one thing that businesses should really do at this point in time is take a look at where they want to be, what they’re wanting to try and achieve in the next couple of years’ time, and look at the steps they need to implement now, in order to make that happen for them.
Who is your ideal marketing client?
My ideal client would be a business where I felt that I could really add value to their business by being able to help them generate growth.
Tell us a little more about what you’ve worked on in the past
I’ve spent time working with large global corporates. I’ve worked in financial services industry and I’ve also run my own business.
If you were a food what would it be?
If I were a food, I would be macaroni cheese. Macaroni cheese is one of my all-time favourite dishes, and it is my go-to food wherever I am. If we see Mac and cheese on the menu, that’s it. We know what I’m having.
