2020 has been a tough year for everyone.
As it finally comes to an end, it’s no surprise that we’re all now turning our thoughts towards Christmas, and the hope of a peaceful end to a tumultuous year.
I’m sure I speak for everyone at The Marketing Optimist when I say that we’re all looking forward a break, and to celebrating in whatever way we’re able to this holiday season, as I’m sure you are too.
Throughout this rollercoaster year, we’ve weathered the storm, and even grown. This is a great testament to the whole team, old and new, and the support of our clients, suppliers, family, and friends, to whom we are incredibly grateful.
Supporting Yorkshire’s homeless this Christmas
Though it’s customary at this time of year for businesses to send out Christmas cards and gifts to clients and those who’ve helped them, we at The Marketing Optimist do things a little differently.
This year, like any other since we launched, we’ll be making a collective donation to Simon On the Streets instead.
A West Yorkshire charity supporting the homeless, a group of people severely affected by the throes of 2020, Simon On The Streets do truly amazing work.
I hope you will join us in donating whatever you can, to help Simon on the Streets support the homeless of West Yorkshire this Christmas and throughout 2021.
To donate please visit our Simon on the Streets Just Giving Page.
We spoke to Simon on the Streets CEO Natalie Moran earlier this year as part of our Marketing Sandwich Course, about how Yorkshire’s homeless are coping during the Covid 19 lockdown. We filmed this just as Leeds joined the rest of West Yorkshire in local lockdown measures as the Covid 19 pandemic reached it’s second wave in the UK.
