Walking with Simon from Huddersfield to Leeds

This year, and to be fair for the last three years, we’re supporting Simon on the Streets. We really believe that the work they do to help the homeless of Leeds and other areas of Yorkshire are vital.

The importance of their work is easy to see. On our daily walks around Leeds we see increasing numbers of homeless people on the streets and that really hits home. None of our team have ever been in that situation but it doesn’t take much imagination to see how just a few things happening in your life could see everyone of us in a similar awful situation.

We’ve decided that this year we are going to raise at least £1,000 for Simon on the Streets.

At the time of writing our total stands at £180, which is pretty impressive so far. But we can do so much better! So, we’re taking on a new challenge set-up by Simon on the Streets, to walk 24 miles from Huddersfield to Leeds on July 13th.

While a walk might seem like a doddle to most people, anyone who knows me will tell you I don’t do any exercise at all. So, this walk will be quite a challenge for me personally and I’m sure will result in quite a few blisters! Chris on the other hand goes to the gym quite a bit, so I’m expecting some support from him along the 24 mile hike.
